Through structured usability testing, persona development, and user interviews, we identified key issues such as dense text, low visual hierarchy, and buried emergency instructions. Based on our findings, we proposed a revised layout with simplified content, bold headings, iconography, and a reorganized information flow to make the message more accessible, scannable, and actionable for all residents.

What Surprised Me Along the Way?

I approached this project expecting to design eye-catching visuals and infographics to improve reader engagement. But user feedback was contradictory, participants preferred a clean, text-driven layout that felt more serious and credible. This shifted my perspective and became a powerful reminder that good design isn't about assumptions, it’s about alignment. This project reinforced the value of data-driven design by listening to real users, understanding their preferences, and making decisions grounded in evidence.
